Thistle & Felt began in my home on the Mornington Peninsula, inspired by a love of nature, slow craft and the wish to create a calm space for my children. What started with a single mobile for my daughter has grown into a collection of heirloom pieces, each one designed with care, rooted in tradition and reimagined for modern nurseries.

How It All Began

When I became a mum, I searched for nursery pieces that felt both meaningful and thoughtfully made. I could not find what I envisioned, so I began making them myself, sketching designs by hand, selecting colours inspired by the bush and the sea, and stitching every detail slowly and intentionally.

What began as a quiet hobby became something more. I discovered joy in the process of working with wool, wood and traditional techniques, and I wanted to share that feeling with other families who value simplicity and connection to nature.
